okay.... this is how britney's marriage came about :

For some guys, winning $100 at the blackjack tables is enough to call a trip to Las Vegas successful, but Jason Allen Alexander really hit the jackpot. So how did this nice-guy football player from Louisiana get pop's biggest sexpot to say "I do"? By plying her with alcohol? By disguising himself as Madonna? Nope. Apparently all he had to do was show Britney "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" to get her in the mood and then keep a sense of humor about the whole thing. Here's how it all went down:

New Year's Eve

After ringing in the New Year at the Palms nightclubs Rain and Ghost Bar (a night of drinking and dancing that saw Britney rubbing elbows with Kobe Bryant and his wife), Spears returns to the "Real World" Suite at the Palms, where she is registered under the name Alotta Warmheart.

Thursday, January 1

Evening
Britney returns to Rain, where she is seen "getting frisky" with a number of people, including her eventual husband, Jason Allen Alexander. She also puts on a dance show in the VIP section and kisses one of her female dancers.

Friday, January 2

Evening
After going to see "Mona Lisa Smile" with friends, Spears hits the Ghost Bar again and retires to her room.

Saturday, January 3

Early morning
Britney watches "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" in her room with Jason, and then the two decide to marry for the hell of it.

3:30 a.m.
The pair take the Palms' stretch limo with a hotel bellhop to the Little White Wedding Chapel, where they're told they need a marriage license.

4:30 a.m.
Spears goes to the Clark County Courthouse, provides proof of age and her Social Security number, and buys a marriage license. It takes 10 minutes to process her request, and she and Alexander become one of 341 couples to receive marriage licenses in Las Vegas that day.

5 a.m.
The two marry in a $70, seven-minute ceremony that includes the wedding march played on a boom box. The event is videotaped by a wall-mounted camera.

Later that morning
Back at the Palms, Alexander goes to his room, but his new wife goes dancing again.

Afternoon
Palms owner George Maloof hooks Spears up with lawyer David Chesnoff, who prepares annulment papers.

4:30 p.m.
The newlyweds sign annulment papers.

Evening
A wedding reception of sorts is held at the Palms' N9NE Steakhouse, which Lance Bass attends.

That night
Alexander leaves Las Vegas, and Spears goes back to Rain.

Sunday, January 4

Spears leaves Las Vegas.

Monday, January 5

10 a.m.
Chesnoff files the complaint of annulment with Clark County Courthouse and pays a fee of $122.

12:24 p.m.
Judge Lisa M. Brown signs off on the papers. The marriage
is over after 55 hours.
